TINGLER, JAMES LOYD, 39, of Ocala, and formerly of St. Petersburg, died Monday (May 17, 1993) at Munroe Regional Medical Center, Ocala. 

A native of St. Petersburg, he moved to Ocala 10 years ago. In the Ocala area, he was a member of College Road Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, Sunday school teacher and a founder of a local chapter of Cops for Christ. He also was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and served as the chaplain. 

Survivors include his mother, Arlene P. Tingler, Pinellas Park; two sons, Robert W. and James L. Jr., Ocala; two sisters, Elizabeth Port, St. Petersburg, and Martha Vazquez, Crystal Lake, IL; and a brother, Charles, Pinellas Park. Hiers Funeral Home, Ocala.
