Ray G. Bender Jr.
August 21, 1953 - July 18, 2011

Bender Ray Gibbons, Jr. (57) of St. Petersburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ, on July 18, 2011. Born August 21, 1953, in Pittsburgh, Pa. He came down to St. Petersburg in 1961 with his parents and family where he grew up and attended grade school through high school. After graduating from Lakewood High School, He attended St. Pete. Jr. College and Florida Bible College from 1972-1976. He then went to work for various companies, finally starting his own communications company called Business Telephone Services in 1978, where he finally retired from. Survivors include wife, Victoria, one daughter, Cheryl and her husband, Chris Christiansen. three grand children, one son, Matthew, brother Allen Papapetrou in Hawaii, brother Dean Papapetrou and his wife Nancy in Live Oak, Fl., one niece, Lynn, and a sister in Arizona, Jane Magee, and another brother, Richard in Mississippi. A memorial service will be held at St. Petersburg Community Church, 4501 30th Avenue North, on July 23, 2011, at 11:00a.m.
